I just wanted to share with you that I have just recently bought a couple of brooches made by a young lady who is helping to raise funds for the North London Hen Rescue.
Katt makes a range of henny brooches. I actually placed an order yesterday and paid by paypal and they arrived about half an hour ago. How is that for customer service?
Here is the link to details of Katt's brooches.

Oh Wow!! Aren't they cute! x
lovely blog....
I think I will try to augment my flock by getting some rescue hens
you have inspired me
Hi Ive just found this blog as I was browsing about rescued chickens. I have three ex battery pullets who only spent five months in prison ut yesterday got a 18 month old. Boy is that a different kettle of fish!! I was so sad about little hen, what a sad thing. I often wonder how we ever acepted that it was ok to farm animals so intensivey in cages. Pigs are the next thing i am discovering about. presently I can only save the world one chook at a time but the day will come when we can buy some land and have our own pigs too and more rescued hens.
I am blogging about my chooks now and aout our "urban" farm I am developing until the land comes
love Cherry
